When Page Views Are Meaningless

I don’t blog for money. I don’t bother to put any ads on both of my blogs. I write because I like sharing my stories. Maybe one day I can look back and see how silly I was.

It really means a lot when you take your time and read my posts. Yesterday I got this tweet from @_thatsheart, and it made my day.

I was at a party and I almost cried when I read the tweet. It means a lot to a blogger like me because now I know that I have been doing the right thing. No page views, number of RT, likes, +1s would make me this happy. At the end of the day no number is really matter except the number of people who actually cares.

Someone Asked Me To Be His Mistress

In the last few weeks, I had gotten a lot of offers. Some are good, some are ok, and one is ridiculous.

A PR executive asked me to become his mistress. I was not sure if I give people the wrong impression. I even asked my friend what do they think about the way I dress. My friend said I look classy, I guess it was not my look. Maybe he thinks I really love money.

What I wore last week, on the day I got the offer.

That is kind of true. All my life, I love money. I read business magazine when I was 7 [ I learned to read when I was 6]. When I was a kid, I used to buy book at wholesale price, read and resell at retail price. I know the value of money and how much we need it.

Anyway I told the guy ” I have no interest, and wish him the best”. I might love money a lot. I might enjoy $50 bowl of soup, or wearing cashmere and silk. But at the end of the day, I love myself more.

I look very high maintenance. But it does not mean, I would do anything for a new Chanel or a Marchesa dress.

If you think I will trade myself for money, think again. I have two hands and a brain, no matter what happens I can survive.
