There is an old Asian tale about an old man who was dying. One day, he called all his sons to his bed, and told the eldest one to break some chopsticks. The son strained and strained but nothing happened to the bundle of chopsticks. Another son tried then another one, but nobody would be able to break them. The sick father asked the sons to give back the bundle of chopsticks. He took each stick and broke them easily, one by one. The old man said “Unity is strength” and breathed his last breath.
